Kelora is London-by-way-of-Glasgow duo Kitty Hall and Benedict Salter.
The duo weld traditional melodies and modern ideas into one another, rendering their work with glossy software-based production. The final product is folk music in the age of fake news, and pop music in the era of populism; sad and twisted laments befitting the social and political realities of this century.
Kelora introduced themselves with their self-manufactured debut EP & music video "Boy" in late 2016, which DAZED later described as "one of the most abstract and striking music videos of the year."
They went on to release singles "999" and "Girl", each with their own eerie self-made videos filmed across rural Scotland, followed by the Calpol EP in 2018 which caught the pair a reputation for melancholy pop and experimental production.
In 2020, they shared standalone “X24”, a glint of burgeoning matter.
